Description

In 1915, the Higgins family left Wichita, Kansas, seeking a new beginning in Eastaboga, Alabama. There, they built a thriving dairy farm and erected a grand manor at its heart. But prosperity soon gave way to horror. In 1935, a railroad was laid just feet from the home. A decade later, in 1945, the entire Higgins family was found brutally murdered. Whispers pointed to a drifter known as BoxCar Joe, who had worked on the farm and reportedly harbored an obsession with Mrs. Higgins. He vanished the same day the family died. Years later, a circus family moved into the manor—only to suffer the same fate, arranged grotesquely as a human display. Rumor holds that BoxCar Joe struck again. Never captured, some say he still rides the rails. To this day, when a train passes by the old manor, locals claim you can catch a fleeting glimpse of a shadowy figure—BoxCar Joe—waving from a boxcar, grinning into the night.
